Moxie Solar is seeking to hire an enthusiastic Engineering Technician with preference given to candidates who have expertise in creating  Photovoltaic designs.
 
A qualified applicant will be motivated to:
  • work in an entrepreneurial setting, and be passionate about green energy and other environmental causes, and
  • possess excellent business communication and computer skills.
Essential Duties: 
  • Review site photos for additional electrical or structural work required. 
  • Prepare plan sets using AutoCAD. 
  • Create detailed electrical and structural drawings from site survey photos. 

Responsibilities

  • Work in a team environment and learn from fellow Engineers, Project Managers and Sales Representatives.  
  • Provide nonroutine support to the Sales and Client Service functions of the organization .
  • Observe construction processes, verify material specifications, ensure compliance to plans and specifications.
  • Gather measurements (as in survey work) and/or prepare drawings on a smaller scale.
  • Create drawings via CAD methods for review by others, preparation for interconnection, permitting and construction.
  • Build and develop leadership skills that promote autonomy.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in construction technology, industrial technology, engineering technology, architecture technology, or CAD drafting from a technical college or institution or advanced degree in a related field.
  • Experience is preferred, but recent graduates with internship experience will be considered.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
