The Ruhlin Company is seeking to hire a President and Chief Operations Officer. This position is based out of the Company's corporate office in Sharon Center, Ohio (Medina County).

Position Summary: Execute operational strategies by overseeing daily operations of the Company’s operating divisions, formulate plans and policies, insure profitability and fair return on shareholder investment, assure all employees are treated respectfully and fairly, and fulfill the Company’s commitment to the community

- Translate operational strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth
- Oversee Company operations and employee productivity

Position Responsibilities:
- Analyze internal operations, identify areas of process enhancement, and implement strategies, policies, procedures, and organizational structure for operating divisions
- Develop and measure actionable business strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term goals and objectives and overall profit and growth targets; developed in tandem with the CEO
- Directly oversee operations, business development and sales management to achieve growth targets over the near term
- Maintain and build trusted relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders
- Develop responsive strategies to industry trends and business competition
- Develop and maintain a strong industry network; participate actively in industry and civic organizations to promote corporate citizenship
- Champion safety on all projects and ensure adherence to all Company safety policies; leads by example
- Monitor and analyze operating results of the Company relative to established objectives and ensure corporate performance is satisfactorily maintained
- Review annual budgets for operating divisions
- Ensure Company policies and procedures are understood and implemented consistently
- Fulfill all legal requirements of the role of President and COO
- Resolve significant client issues
- Evaluate the performance of the Operations VP’s and Managers
- Assist in development and securing of new business; build customer relationships; direct entry into new markets consistent with Company strategy
- Promote and strengthen the ESOP culture for the benefit of all employee-owners
- Provide advice and direction to employees for their professional development
- Communicate and reinforce the Company vision, values, and goals to operating division’s staff
- Support diversity by monitoring progress toward EEO goals
Essential Skills and Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Fifteen years of progressively responsible experience in construction, including estimating, project management, scheduling and cost control and employee relations
- Advanced knowledge of the construction industry, client market and construction processes for all contract delivery systems used
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical and statistical data, interpret construction drawings, architectural drawings and specifications, and legal documents
- Leadership skills, with unwavering resolve and integrity
- Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics
- Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Strategic problem analysis and problem resolution; sound judgment
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with a wide cross section of individuals
