Strategic Analysis, Inc, (SA) is seeking a Contract Specialist - Junior with experience in federal, Department of Defense, and/or research and development contracting, with cost analysis and Excel experience; contract writing systems experience is desirable. Candidates should have good communication and writing skills, and be able to work independently and recognize contracting issues that need to be elevated.
Job Description
- Review terms and conditions in proposals for technical, regulatory and administrative compliance for the specific contractual action (i.e., cost-type or firm fixed price contracts, cooperative agreements, and other transactions).
- Analyze proposed prices or costs using forecasting price trends and economic factors, and applying information from technical and audit reports. Document proposed and government negotiation positions in Excel cost models.
- Prepare the negotiation documents and the award documents for a variety of contractual actions, ensuring compliance with BAA/RFP technical, regulatory and administrative requirements.
- Administer contractual actions in accordance with the terms and conditions, including evaluation of performance under the contract, preparation of modifications, and contract close-out action support.
- Perform analysis of procurement policies and procedures upon request.
- Maintain and update contract and acquisition files.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree - either a major in or 24 semester equivalent hours in any of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods or organization and management is preferred.
- At least one (1) year of experience related to contract administration.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; specifically Word and Excel.
- Legal experience is desired.
