We are seeking an outgoing, energetic, qualified Marketing Manager to help extend our reach in the Southeast through winning new clients and new projects. As a team member of corporate marketing, you will have the support and guidance of a strong, skilled, creative team and solid brand standards to use to take the lead in collaborating with and serving the SE region technical staff.

As part of this cohesive team, you will monitor business trends, identify and track opportunities, engage in client relationship development activities, identify the best use of marketing resources to connect with clients, develop proposals and marketing collateral, and track performance metrics. Your previous experience in the engineering consulting industry will allow you to hit the ground running, and your professional acumen will poise you to seamlessly manage and merge client-facing work with marketing deliverables.

On any given day, you’ll:

  • Collaborate with leaders across market sectors and geographic regions to develop and implement capture strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate industry trends, marketplace conditions, and customer needs to be incorporated into the corporate strategy.
  • Conduct research to analyze clients/prospects and competitors and use the information to identify target opportunities for new business pursuits.
  • Help drive business development strategy for the SE region – setting, facilitating, and holding others accountable for marketing activity execution.
  • Monitor the pipeline; track lead systems, enter, query, and download data from the company database.
  • Work closely with project managers/technical staff and marketing staff to organize and manage production of RFP/RFQ responses and presentations (while adhering to Ayres’ brand guidelines).
  • Hold other staff accountable to adhere to Ayres’ brand guidelines.
  • Communicate with clients and team members – internal and external.
  • Travel within the SE region for client visits and attend business functions (such as professional organization meetings and conferences) to build relationships with clients/prospects and teaming members. When appropriate, connect client to appropriate technical leaders.
  • Plan and organize Ayres’ role at conferences.
  • Design and implement successful marketing campaigns.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development and/or coordinating responses to client requests for proposals and qualifications in the engineering field.
  • Experience in the A/E, planning or geospatial industry.
  • Experience conducting research (to help target clients, understand competition, and assist with setting future pursuit/direction).
  • A valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

  • Familiarity with FDOT and other Florida city, county, and government entities.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management system software.
  • High level of energy and creativity.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Effective with change and implementation of new ideas.
