As we focus on consistent standards for risk analysis, process integrity, ethics and contractual compliance, we are looking for a highly experienced General Counsel of Ethics & Compliance for SP-NAM (ECO) to design, establish, lead and deliver some of these exciting projects and contribute to our teams’ success across our Specialty Products North America (SP-NAM) business.
The ECO role is to oversee the compliance strategy, structure and process at the SP-NAM sites; Atchison, St Joseph, London foundry and machining, Tacoma foundry and machining, and the Kansas City head office. The role also provides remote oversight of the Bradken, Inc. US sales sites that report to other Bradken business units in Wisconsin and Arizona. Establishes consistent standards for risk analysis, process integrity, ethics and contractual compliance throughout SP-NAM and Bradken, Inc.
You will serve as the Bradken, Inc. Empowered Official in regards to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). This will be done by overseeing the US based whistleblower hot line and communicate results of the monitoring to senior SP-NAM, Bradken, HCM & Hitachi management while ensuring ITAR compliant restricted data is protected.
You will utilize your people and organizational skills to promote the importance of a robust ethics and compliance culture throughout the organization. You will provide employee training, mentoring and guidance in ethics and compliance and ensure all training materials and delivery methods are maintained and appropriate for each audience.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA in law, compliance or a related field.
- 5+ years management / leadership experience
- Prior experience in an ethics and compliance position.
- Qualification in management skills.
- Experience in risk management
- Knowledge of legal requirements and controls
- Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards
- Integrity and professional ethics
- Professional certification (e.g. Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP)) is a plus.
