Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential duties for this position include but are not limited to:

1. Installing and configuring computer network and systems
2. Identifying and solving any problems that arise with computer networks and systems
3. Maintaining existing software and hardware and upgrading any that have become obsolete
4. Monitoring computer network and systems to identify how performance can be improved.
5. Be a subject master expert on network and firewall related issues.
6. Researching and integrating new technologies into the network lifecycle
7. Provide technical support within the company across multiple time zones
8. Ensure that new users are provided IT onboarding
9. Hardware/software purchasing
10. Data archiving and backup management
11. Liaison with clients to identify and define project requirements
12. Create or maintain IT infrastructure documentation
13. Afterhours on call support and maintenance management
14. Special/strategic technical projects as needed

Qualifications and Desired Skills

• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently and work well in a team environment
• Ability to prioritize work and exhibit initiative to meet deadlines
• Experience working in high stress situations
• AWS cloud integration and setting up environment in AWS is highly desirable
• Knowledge in creating and setting up new VMWare is essential
• Firewall setup knowledge
• Knowledge of LAN and WAN networks
• Understanding of system security and SOC1 compliance
• Strong understanding of server hardware components is required
• Experience in installation, testing and upgradation in Linux environment is essential
• Experience with database systems MySQL, Oracle is highly desirable
• Experience with VMWare, Linux Servers, Windows Servers is highly desirable
• Experience with FTP and SFTP is highly desirable
• Experience with Linux and Windows scripting is a plus
• Experience with basic SQL is a plus
• Experience with setting up VPN tunnels, firewalls is a plus
• Experience with Apache and Tomcat installations is a plus

Education:

Required:          Masters /bachelor’s in information technology or computer science          

Experience:

Required:          Six to Eight years of experience in network administration
