Job Description: Lead and execute plan to drive e-Commerce at the local & national level.  This role will oversee Vireo’s day-to-day digital platforms, including business opportunity evaluation, development of resourcing and operational plans, and project management for the launch & change of existing e-commerce platforms. S/he will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally, across Marketing, Creative, Technology, Product, Analytics, CRM, and Email.  S/he has full accountability for identifying and implementing the e-Commerce marketing automation tools that work for the business and managing the processes and workflows in an automation platform. This role reports to the VP of Digital Marketing & E-Commerce.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Overseeing design and developments of websites
  • Responsible for all online activities and user experience
  • Provide analytic reports of online sales & traffic
  • Lead effort to drive eCommerce sales at the local market level. Evolve current strategy and playbook for driving local eCommerce and ensure flawless execution by coordinating a team of market-specific leads.
  • Execute promotions, localizing when necessary
  • Manage the day-to-day web operations of the Store including updating & maintaining of all products, collections, banners, navigation, & roadmap
  • Optimizing listings, category storefronts, and brand storefronts
  • Acquire and analyze eCommerce performance data, using results to inform overall customer strategy, category management, and omni-channel programming
  • Partners with the CRM team to define and deliver customer retention and loyalty strategies.
  • Cooperates to maximize customer lifetime value strategies ensuring maximum profitability.
  • Partner with CRM to monitor results of customer targeting activities.
  • Assists with management of online metrics and makes recommendations for continued improvement and optimization.

Optimize user experience through:

  • UX enhancement propositions to improve client journey online and conversion.
  • Responsible for finding the ecommerce marketing automation tools that work for the business and managing the processes and workflows in an automation platform like Marketo, Infusionsoft, or even MailChimp.
  • SEOability to make web pages easy for web crawlers to access and index. With the aim to help search engines locate and understand the content.
  • Clear writing is a requirement for ecommerce marketing success. The ability to communicate and write well online to help drive the ecommerce marketing.
  • Create and update all website content such as products, inventory, pricing, images and copy
  • Help to increase traffic, improve site speed, optimize navigation, customer paths, and checkout conversion
  • Monitor brand’s website to ensure that it is up-to-date, accurate and fully functioning and flag/troubleshoot anything that needs attention
  • Ensure that all new product data is uploaded onto our website in a timely manner prior to product launch dates
  • Identify opportunities for ongoing improvement of the website and researching and implementing appropriate solutions, utilizing third parties where appropriate
  • In partnership with VP of Digital Marketing, optimize website SEO Inventory Management
  • Build web-based content deliverables for campaigns – including but not limited to web pages/sites, landing pages, banner ads and social posts—that increase user engagement and conversion
  • Own all aspects of the content collection, collation, consolidation, and creation of landing pages or facilitate delivery to other teams for them to create landing pages.
  • Ensure technical accuracy standards raise the bar for both internal and external content.
  • Manage external agency relationship and resourcing, as needed.
  • Partner with other teams to ensure campaign setup and execution process is consistent with global practices, and to influence development and optimization of global practices.
  • Experience building and formatting web pages and email templates. Basic HTML/CSS skills for both email and web.
  • Support site updates and maintenance on a daily basis (basic HTML coding) & execute new product launches
  • Maintain and develop website to effectively tell our brand story
  • Analyze data and feedback on promotional and operational programs performance, recommend adjustments/enhancements to future strategies
  • Keep abreast of digital trends and innovation to recommend new digital initiatives
  • Coordinating with internal operations & customer service teams to ensure new product launch successes
  • Oversee all new launches on the site to ensure proper set up from the merchandising, operations, customer experience & creative teams

 

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of marketplace & E Commerce programs
  • 3+ years of Retail or CPG Sales experience
  • Experience with wordpress, shopify, & similar website/ecommerce ecosystem.
  • Experience with analytics platforms and web traffic reporting (Google Analytics)
  • Experience in Cannabis, Hemp, or Supplements preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree (All backgrounds encouraged)
  • HTML knowledge
