Project Engineer/Office Manager

Infrastructure Design Group, Inc. is a civil engineering and land surveying services firm providing professional services to public and private clients in the southeast South Dakota region. We provide professional engineering, surveying, and consulting services to local municipalities, county and state DOT’s, and other state departments, as well as private sector clients. We have an immediate opening for a FT Civil Engineer, candidates can work in either our Sioux Falls, SD office, Mitchell, SD office, or as the Office Manager work at our Watertown, SD office.

What you get to do!

As a Project Engineer/Office Manager, you will work with other engineers, surveyors, and technicians to complete engineering studies and designs, drawings, layouts, maps, and graphic representations of engineering designs using computer-aided drafting software. Work could also entail field investigations and inspections. We are interested in a motivated individual capable of taking on multiple responsibilities as a team player. The position will focus on civil design and project oversight of transportation, municipal, and private development type projects. Office Manager role would involve managing a current staff of 4 along with client management and business development. 

What you need to have!

Civil Engineer position requires a BS degree in Civil Engineering, with a minimum of 6 years of related design/engineering experience. Knowledge of DOT and/or typical municipal standards and competence with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Microstation/InRoads is required. Requires proven technical knowledge to complete technical analysis and engineering designs. The ideal candidate shall be self-motivated, organized, able to communicate effectively both written and orally, able to work in a team environment, and have strong interpersonal skills.
