Water Resources Engineer/Office Manager
Infrastructure Design Group, Inc. is a civil engineering and land surveying services firm providing professional services to public and private clients in the southeast South Dakota region. We provide professional engineering, surveying, and consulting services to local municipalities, county and state DOT’s, and other state departments, as well as private sector clients. We have an immediate opening for a full time Water Resources Engineer/Office Manager with a focus on water resources and drainage analysis to be located in either our Sioux Falls, SD, Mitchell, SD or (for the Office Manger role it would be located in Watertown, SD).
As a Water Resources Engineer/Office Manager you will work with other engineers, surveyors, and technicians to complete engineering studies and designs, drawings, layouts, maps, and graphic representations of engineering designs using computer-aided drafting software, computer modeling software, and other design and analysis methods and tools. Work also entails field investigations and inspections. We are interested in a motivated individual capable of taking on multiple responsibilities as a team player. The position will focus on water resources and drainage design, project management, mentoring staff, and oversight of transportation, municipal, and private development type projects. Office Manager role would involve managing a current staff of 4 along with client management and business development.
Qualifications:
This position requires a BS degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of related design/engineering and/or project management experience. Requires proven technical knowledge to complete technical analysis and engineering designs. Knowledge of DOT and/or typical municipal standards and competence with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Microstation/InRoads is preferred.
Ideal candidate shall be self-motivated, organized, able to communicate effectively both written and orally, able to work in a team environment, and have strong interpersonal skills. Competitive salary $80K to $130K (if Office Manager role is included), $5,000 sign-on BONUS along with an additional $5,000 for the Office Manager role, relocation assistance plus full benefits which includes health insurance with company contribution, dental, vision, 401k with company match, PTO, paid holidays, and 100% company paid group life insurance and short & long term disability and a great team culture!
