HR Works' rapidly growing Strategic Services area is currently recruiting for an HR Associate to work in our Rochester, NY location.   

DESCRIPTION

The HR Associate works collaboratively with a designated HR Strategic Partner to provide back-end support with managing the overall client relationship, including assisting in the HR Assessment and Handbook development processes, development of Quarterly Service Reports and annual HR Business Plan, fielding client and employee questions and escalating to the HR Strategic Partner, as needed. The HR Associate will collaborate with the HR Strategic Partner and other HR Works’ departments to ensure effective and efficient delivery and coordination of services.

Additionally, the HR Associate is responsible for answering HR Helpline calls and emails, supporting the HR Works Learning Management System (LMS) service through onboarding/training clients, and assisting with other HR-related projects.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Prior HR Helpline experience is preferred.
  • SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment law compliance and HR best practices required.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred as travel locally is required.

  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams) and Salesforce.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn other systems and programs (i.e., Salesforce, compensation benchmarking database, compliance research tools).
  • Excellent presentation skills.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resource Management or a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of HR/employment law experience or an equivalent combination of related work experience, training and/or education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job is required.
