Role:
To match member needs with available loan products. Attendance is an essential function of performing the duties of this job.
 
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
E 25% Responsible for mortgage loan business development and relationship management with current and potential members, as well as, real estate brokers, builders, associated trade organizations and community groups. Represents the Credit Union in industry and professional associations, community organizations, local business groups, etc., and promotes the Credit Union's products.
E 25% Conducts loan interviews to formalize specific loan requests resulting from outside sales efforts. Explains policies, products, and offers suggestions. Effectively presents information and responds to questions from managers, clients, members, and the general public in face-to-face and telephone contact.
E 25% Prepares required disclosures within 3 days of application and processes loan from origination through final underwriting.
E 20% Ensures loan is documented compliant with TRID, ATR/QM and all other Dodd-Frank regulations.
E 5% Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Performance Measurements:
1. RESPONSIVE: Respond's to email, voicemail, and referrals same-day. Follows-up with referral source by next business day following initial referral contact. Keeps members and realtors up-to-date on mortgage process.
2. ORGANIZED: Submits complete loan applications to pre-underwriting, including all necessary member documents within 72 hours of application. Meets compliance standards for all disclosures.
3. PRODUCTIVE: Originates a minimum of 10 loans per month. Meets or exceeds personal production goals set annually with management.
4. RELATIONAL: Utilizes customer relationship manager tool (i.e. Hubspot) to create lead and post-close sales automation schedule. Builds a growing network of business partners to maintain a list of forty active contacts.

Knowledge and Skills:
Experience Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
Interpersonal Skills Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

1. Knowledge of the secondary market and experience with first and second mortgage residential real estate lending.
2. Knowledge of all Dodd-Frank Financial Reform regulations and be able to reference required federal, state and investor regulations.
3. Must be able to type, use PC and general office equipment including 10-key calculator.
