Position Summary

This is a generalist role and will be primarily responsible for recruiting and onboarding newly hired employees for field, shop, and office positions. Will also participate in employee relations and benefits administration. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

  • Work closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs.
  • With input from the director and others, develop and implement a recruiting strategy to fill open positions.
  • Works closely with marketing coordinator/team on recruiting, retention, and employment branding projects.
  • Conducts phone interviews and makes recommendations to hiring manager(s).
  • Schedules interviews for hiring managers.
  • Coordinate all preemployment activities including offer letters, background checks, drug testing, and physicals.
  • Schedules and conducts onboarding activities.
  • Creates new hire personnel file and provides necessary documents to payroll.
  • Actively engaged in human resource and safety process improvement opportunities and challenges.
  • Assists with employee termination process.
  • Assists with benefit enrollment and termination.
  • Performs customer service functions by responding to employee requests, questions, and concerns.

 Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree human resources or related field.
  • At least two years of related experience.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification desired.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
