We are currently looking for an Electrical Mechanic to undertake our Crusher Maintenance Technician position.  This position will require a variety of tasks relating to setting up and maintaining electrical infrastructure relating to our crushing units. 

Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment, along with general mechanical skills which include welding, basic repairs and servicing are required.  The goal will be to produce and maintain well-functioning productive crushing units. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Efficiently coordinating duties with fellow workers 

Day to day preventative maintenance and repair to all components of crushing equipment

On-site repairs and maintenance at crushing job site locations

Must have good problem-solving skills and positive attitude. Must be motivated, self-starter, and punctual. 

Lift objects of various shapes up to 75lbs.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Must be able to work overtime when needed.

Must be willing to travel.

Prompt daily attendance at assigned schedule.

 

SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Good understanding of using all repair tools and electrical equipment to include voltmeter.

Knowledge of safety issues in the use of tools, equipment, and supplies used in repair of crushing equipment.

Welding experience 

Ability to communicate with other mechanics and employees with crushing units about repair work needed.

Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, materials, tools, and equipment used in the repair and maintenance of crushing equipment.

Must be able to follow all safety requirements.

General knowledge of OSHA & MSHA safety practices

  

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Class A CDL with Medical Card Required preferred but not required.

Must be able to pass a drug screen.

Knowledge of equipment hydraulics

Strong people skills. Able to communicate effectively. 

Knowledge of tools and equipment used in the crushing industry

Must be able to follow all safety requirements.

High school degree, diploma, or a GED equivalent qualification

Work experience of 2 – 3 years preferred but not required.

Construction and mining equipment maintenance a plus
