Sewer Water Installer Foreman

Summary/Objective
The Sewer and Water Installer/Foreman will work with contractors, engineers and owners to install sewer, water and storm sewer piping for various projects around the area. Strong motivation and leadership skills are desired with the ability to lead a crew through projects.

Essential Functions

1. Pipe Installation
2. Plan management
3. Crew management (3-4 employees)
4. Knowledge and use of all safety devices and general safe work practices

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and listen. The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Travel

Local travel to various work-sites is required. Some out of town work.

Required Education and Experience

1. Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
2. Experience involving the use of medium and heavy equipment.
3. 5 Years’ experience in pipe-laying
4. Supervisor/Foreman experience 

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

1. Valid Driver’s License
2. Hiring will be contingent on passing a drug screen and a Motor Vehicle Report Record Check 
3. Class A CDL -preferred (or able to obtain one)
