Cohen Milstein is seeking a junior associate to join its Public Client Practice Group in its Washington, D.C. office. Attorneys with one to four years of litigation or clerkship experience are encouraged to apply.   

The Public Client Practice offers a unique opportunity for public-sector work in a private-sector setting.  We represent government clients in significant matters requiring complex litigation and consumer protection expertise.  State attorneys general and major cities with enforcement authority comprise our largest client base.  Our cases span a wide variety of business sectors, including the healthcare, pharmaceutical, technology, financial, and education industries. A strong academic background with excellent writing skills and analytic ability is required, as is the discretion and judgment to represent government clients and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.  Applicants must be able to take a substantial role in government investigations and litigation, including subpoenas, motions practice, legal briefs, depositions, all aspects of case development, formal discovery and trial preparation.  

Candidates must be an active member of the DC Bar or commit to completing an application for membership to the DC Bar within 90 days of employment at the firm.
