OQ Administrator

The OQ Administrator will provide administrative and technical assistance to the OQ department and can expect to work regularly on records requests, report drafting, database entry and research, and other projects assigned by the supervisor. The successful candidate will work on a team dedicated to administering the company’s OQ program(s), providing essential support to natural gas construction services. Candidates should demonstrate a strong technical skillset, keen communication skills, ability to successfully handle multiple projects / requests, and demonstrated ability to quickly learn and manage information.

  • Aid evaluation and training activities with record keeping and general OQ administration support
  • Maintain department calendar and internal record keeping systems
  • Facilitate documentation of various strategic and continuous improvement processes as related to OQ
  • Management and maintenance of OQ records from various OQ administration portals (ISN, ITS, MEA, Veriforce, EWN, etc.)
  • Proficient rendering of OQ Reports from records portals (ISN, ITS, MEA, Veriforce, EWN, etc.)
  • Creation of Excel-based and other MS Office documents
  • Addressing phone calls from department members and from Operational partners seeking guidance on OQ matters
  • Document preparation: file format changes, scanning, copying, printing, etc.
  • Shipping/mailing equipment and materials for OQ evaluation
  • Providing support to department leadership
  • Clear and professional communication (email, phone calls, etc.)
  • Interacting with third-party partners for resource needs
  • Organize and maintain filing system; electronic and physical
  • Add, remove, archive users within various record keeping portals
  • Manual import of select field evaluation forms into records systems
  • Facilitating invoices received for services related to department’s function
  • Additional duties assigned by supervisor

What is Required?

  • 2+ years direct experience with record databases (electronic recordkeeping)
  • Proficient use of MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Eagerness to learn
  • Ability to identify best practices and solutions
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficient ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Experience or demonstrated ability to communicate with management
  • Ability to learn, if required, travel agency systems, OQ recordkeeping systems, among others
  • Prior position(s) providing technical or administrative support
  • Prior position(s) requiring detailed knowledge of OQ requirements, either in a role with a contractor or natural gas operator
  • Prior position(s) involving natural gas distribution compliance, technical training or quality management
  • Proficiency, or ability to learn, OQ recordkeeping systems (ISN, MEA, ITS, Veriforce, EWN, etc.)
  • Arranging travel for others
