Våra erfarna konsulter inom den svenska verksamheten kommer främst att leda uppdrag och arbeta med att utveckla och vidareutveckla våra kundrelationer samt bidra till den tekniska utvecklingen av våra tjänster, exempelvis miljötillståndsprövning, markmiljöundersökningar, riskbedömningar och åtgärdsutredningar av förorenade områden, miljöstrategisk rådgivning inklusive ESG och Miljö Due Diligence, hållbar utveckling och tekniska tjänster relaterade till gruvor för våra kunder inom främst privat men även offentlig sektor.

Our ideal candidates would have at least 5 years of related experience and can apply practical experience to real-world situations related to contaminated site assessment & remediation, ground water management, water treatment, and environmental due diligence, for a diverse private and public sector client base.  If you’re looking for a place where you can contribute to a dynamic employee-owned firm, tackle challenging project work, and collaborate with industry recognized professionals - Geosyntec is the place for you! 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Plan, schedule, conduct and/or coordinate detailed phases of technical work for small to moderately scoped projects or discrete tasks of larger projects.
  • Define client objectives, project/task requirements/constraints (including budget, regulatory, schedule and technological constraints), definition of scope, organization of tasks and assignments, identification and adaptation of technical approaches, preparation and presentation of deliverables clients and administrative project/task management.
  • Conduct fieldwork such as soil and groundwater sampling, drilling and contractor oversight, (core, soil, mud) logging, and remediation system operation and management.
  • Preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, work plans, specifications, and proposals.
  • Monitor assigned contracts, subcontracts, change orders and other agreements for compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Learn and comply with the requirements of the company risk management program, purchasing/subcontracting and insurance policies. 
  • Actively implement Geosyntec’s policies and procedures related to environmental health and safety in the office and on job sites.
  • Assist with business development including bringing in new clients and obtaining repeat business from existing clients, marketing efforts, and developing and implementing a business development plan.

EDUCATION AND ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, earth science (geology or hydrology), environmental, civil, chemical engineering, or related degree. (required) 
  • Master’s degree (preferred) 

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 5 years of related applicable experience, preferably in an environmental consulting environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required) 
  • Related project experience involving environmental regulatory compliance, and environmental assessments. (preferred)
  • Experience with specialized environmental/engineering software. (preferred) 
  • Valid driver’s license. (required)
