POSITION SUMMARY
Hikvision Solution Engineer is a pre-sale engineer-oriented role. Candidates must have extensive experience in standard security system design, implementation, and evaluation. Professional hands-on experience in Security System design, computer networking, software-hardware implementation is a must. Candidates should be willing to travel on-site to evaluate current and potential security threats and provide technical solutions and Support. The candidate should be responsible for developing solutions, integrating Hikvision products and 3rd party products.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Closely work with Hikvision’s Reginal Sales Team, Business Development team on product/solution fit delivery expectations.
  • Design, maintain and implement electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products or systems related to the security industry (security cameras, access controls, network securities, etc)
  • Support pre-sales activities with sales engineers by providing technical training to promote the newly developed products and solutions.
  • Delivery of various pre-sales activities - including responding to customer’s technical requests for information (RFP/RFI), create sample projects, developing and planning conceptual solution presentations.
  • Test and verify solution system design and product compatibility before delivery.
  • Summarize product pros/cons and translate it into technical detail.

SKILL/JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in network technology, CCTV system, Access Control System.
  • Ability to analyze technical situations and provide technical solutions and support.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job.
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
  • Preference for candidates from consulting, tech support, pre-sales, business development backgrounds.
  • Proven work experience in project management or as an associate project manager.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have Engineering-related Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry-related experience.
  • Knowledge of field electronics, computer hardware, software, and data networks.
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • An understanding of the Surveillance Industry Market.
  • Excellent hands-on skills with office productivity tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)
