Construction Engineers is looking for a Project Manager Assistant to support our Project Management team in Grand Forks. 

Core Duties

  • Provide administrative support to Project Management staff
  • Assist in developing Contracts and Change Orders between Construction Engineers and Owners
  • Coordinate the receipt and submission of the required project bonds
  • Coordinate receiving, reviewing, distribution and monitoring of all project documents
  • Assist in developing Notice To Proceeds, Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, and Change Orders
  • Compile required documents and applications for all necessary permits
  • Manage all contact lists for all ongoing projects
  • Coordinate the receipt/submission/return of all shop drawings/submittals with subcontractors and the design team
  • Utilize construction software such as PlanGrid to maintain project documents
  • Maintain current set of construction documents-posts all approved changes resulting from Change Orders, RFI’s, Supplemental Drawings, As-Built/Red Lines, etc
  • Coordinate distribution of all contract documents (ASI’s, RFI’s, CPR’s, etc.) to subcontractors and suppliers
  • Establish and maintain the Submittal Log, RFI Log, and Drawing Log. Coordinate all changes and responses with field managers, subcontractors and material suppliers
  • Print and update all construction documents required by the CE field staff
  • Provide administrative support to field management staff as needed
  • Coordinate various meeting invites for project meetings
  • Assist in preparing meeting minutes for progress meetings
  • Request, collect, and track all As-Built drawings and Project Closeout documents from CE field team, mechanical and electrical subcontractors and assemble into a complete set for submittal to the Owner as required by contract specifications
  • Create O&M manuals as required by the contract specifications
  • Assist Construction Engineers’ marketing department in facilitating project events as needed
  • Support CE Grand Forks office administrative team as needed

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school. Prefer previous exposure to construction industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong relationship management skills and the ability to effectively work with all levels of the organization
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Ability to prioritize, take ownership of tasks, and exhibit a high level of initiative and follow-through
  • Ability to function both independently and as a member of a team
  • Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
  • Valid driver’s license required
