We are currently seeking a Safety Compliance Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Complete MVR requests annually and on an as needed basis.
- Provide recommendations on all driving records that are considered “at risk” drivers.
- Make necessary changes to grade or follow up on invalid driver’s licenses (expired, incorrect numbers, etc.).
- Complete employee verification(s):
- Flag ineligible employee’s for codes 1 through 4.
- Take phone calls regarding ineligible employees flagged in system.
- Provide training on employee verification system to operating companies.
- Complete criminal background screening(s):
- Provide recommendations for hiring individuals relating to criminal background check.
- Run background screenings on an as needed basis.
- Follow up on invalid or incorrect information.
- Complete verified billing for motor vehicle reports (approximately 6000, annually).
- Maintain ineligible employee files through SharePoint.
- Maintain DOT compliance for all APi Group drivers – 10,000 lbs vs. 26,001 lbs.
- Maintain other fleet compliance for all APi Group drivers, vehicles, trailers, etc.
- Maintain FMCSA Clearinghouse for CDL drivers.
- Code invoices to proper GL account for Risk Management.
- Charge appropriate companies for inter-company billing.
- Lead the DOT Substance Abuse Program – PHMSA, FMCSA.
- Lead the APi Group Substance Abuse Program.
- Manage Medcor website and billing/disputes for drug program for all operational companies.
- Manage operational companies accounts on Truce (cell control) software and provide support for technical and billing issues.
- Follow up on compliance and return to work processes for positive drug test results.
- Follow up on safety sensitive issues with MRO.
- ASAP billing for case management.
- ASAP services case file reviews for compliance with recommendations.
- Manage owner, GC, and consortium (DISA, PTC testing programs relating to APi’s employees).
- State program Ohio/Tennessee/Utah.
- Verify state laws pertaining to unemployment claims and WC denial based on positive drug test results.
- Verify laws pertaining to posting requirements for implementation and types of testing.
- Assist safety managers with potential Union grievances.
- Provide onsite training to all operational companies regarding:
- Criminal background checks
- Fleet policy – MVR background checks
- Drug program – Procedures, employee awareness, supervisor reasonable suspicion, and primary and secondary contact for positive test results
- Driving without Distractions program
- Website training – Medcor, Verified Credentials, Truce
- Participation in and/or lead other safety initiatives at direction of Director of Corporate Safety.
Qualifications:
- Experience in HR related field with drug testing, and background checks.
- Experience in fleet management.
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Experience in online account management, preferred.
- Ability to communicate well in standard English, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong ability to maintain confidentiality.
