The Human Resources Associate — Onboarding will organize and facilitate the Company’s onboarding procedures for non-exempt and exempt employees. They will support the efforts to align and improve processes to create a world- class positive experience for employees and internal partners involved with the hiring process. The role will partner with Field, HR, Payroll and Training Teams to maximize the effectiveness of the onboarding process.  This position is in our Wall, NJ facility...Hours: Monday to Friday:  6:45am – 3:45pm

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or two years of college coursework in Communications, Human Resources, or similar field preferred but not required; experience in lieu of degree will be considered

        •    1-3 years’ experience in Human Resources and/or Onboarding

        •    Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to employment

        •    Able to work independently

        •    Proficiency with MS Office Suite

**Bilingual in English/Spanish or Portuguese is a plus but not required**

Hours: Monday to Friday:  6:45am – 3:45pm

Responsibilities

•    Responsible for the day-to-day activities associated with the coordination of new employee onboarding for union, non-exempt and exempt employees

•    Responsible for quality control and timely processing of all onboarding activities

•    Reviews current processes to determine if they are efficient and effective. Makes recommendations for process improvements and implements

•    Prepare onboarding /new hire packages

•    Facilitate onboarding of all new hires including DOT driver qualification documents

•    Assist employees in creating FMCSA Clearinghouse account

•    Provide overview of company policies

•    Facilitate Sexual Harassment & Ethics training

•    Review employee new hire documents to ensure accuracy

•    Audit I-9 and complete E-Verify process in a timely manner

•    Create Company IDs

•    Collect and make copies of new hire training or Union ID Cards

•    Audit and retrieve updated company policies/I-9 Forms from current employees that come through the Training Center

•    Coordinate breakfast and lunch orders as needed for training

•    Maintain inventory of onboarding /training/office supplies

•    Coordinate employee, customer or DOT required drug testing and physicals

•    Enter employee information in Payroll system

•    Scan new hire documents in HR folder

•    Maintain various Excel spreadsheets

•    Enter and scan new hire and crew training in HRIS

•    Other duties as assigned by Training & Development Manager
