We are currently seeking a Senior Tax Accountant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To include, but not limited to the following:
- Preparation of tax workpapers to support the tax provision and tax return processes
- Preparation of state/federal extensions, estimates and payments
- Preparation of state and local tax returns, as needed
- Research of federal, state, and local tax issues, staying up to date on changes
- Management of federal and state income tax audits
- Preparation of responses to state and federal tax notices
- Assist subsidiary companies with legal entity compliance requirements
- Support subsidiary compliance with APi Group accounting policies
- Support transition into the Group for recently acquired companies
- Assistance with tax documentation to meet SOX requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills
Must have intimate knowledge of the Microsoft Office programs, and have the ability to perform high-level function in them. Able to learn to use Sage Premier Depreciation and the in-house accounting system.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
