Talent Acquisition / Recruiting Specialist

(FT or PT Available; Flexible Hours and Schedule)

Alternative HRD, LLC provides a wide variety of human resource solutions to small and mid-sized employers, most of whom have no HR professional on staff. We also work with larger employers who outsource HR projects to us, or who need interim and or transitional HR services.  All of our clients need great talent, and we assist them in that endeavor.  That's where you come in!

We are looking to add a Talent Acquisition / Recruiting Specialist to our team, so if you have 2 or more years of successful recruiting experience, are great at matching people and employers, and have strong social media recruiting experience and talent, we'd like to visit with you! We have what we think is the most unique (and enjoyable) 'HR Department' in the Midwest, and we need your skills and talent!

As a Talent Acquisition / Recruiting Specialist, you will be asked to:

  • Work with clients in determining their staffing needs
  • Post and promote open positions through traditional and non-traditional means
  • Follow up with applicants; conduct phone screens, interviews, reference and background checks
  • Consult with key executives about their recruiting strategies and tactics
  • Coach hiring managers and supervisors
  • Assure that clients comply with EEOC and state employment laws

Qualifications Include:

  • 2 or more years of successful recruiting experience
  • Other HR experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed
  • Strong organizational and project management skills necessary
  • Must be highly competent with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe
  • Confident, professional, positive, with ability to work with deadlines
  • Ability/willingness to travel to client locations (generally in SE South Dakota)
