Job Description: Oversee cannabis production at the Gallup, NM processing site including trimming, pre-rolls, rosin pressing, keif collection, lab activities, and packaging. This individual is responsible for ensuring employees follow protocols for all Red Barn Growers and Vireo Health New Mexico operating procedures, and meeting production goals. Reports to General Manager. Manages processing techs, who perform trimming, pre-roll production, bulk flower packing, rosin pressing, and final packing activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily activities at the Gallup processing site to ensure the smooth operation of the site.
- Manage inventory movement to ensure a smooth process stream. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate production accordingly.
- Coordinate cannabis raw material movement and allocation-based product quality, grade of material, and production and sales needs.
- Issue and manage Work Orders for production.
- Assist General Manager in the creation of processing schedules based on supplied demand estimations.
- Assist General Manager in the development of employee work schedules based on need and work load.
- Monitor consumables inventories and re-orders as required to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Train staff in production techniques as needed to ensure SOP’s and regulations are followed, and quality standards are met.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Assist General Manger in the employee review process of processing personnel.
- Enforce and help maintain a successful system of operating procedures for packaging operations.
- Work closely with Q/A Manager to ensure Vireo’s stringent quality criteria is enforced and maintained.
- Able to assist Production in working with advanced processing equipment to ensure smooth operating function, and ensure uninterrupted production.
- Able to lead State Inspectors through routine facility inspections.
- Able to work independently as well as operating as a team.
- Performs weekly safety-checks of fire-extinguishing equipment, eyewash stations and shower stations. Attends safety meetings as required.
- Perform other functions as necessary to provide an adequate supply of product to meet patient demand.
- Help maintain a positive and healthy work environment in the processing area.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in similar field is preferred. 5 years experience overseeing production activities and inventory management. Experience working with automated production equipment. Managerial experience required. Both mental and manual skills are utilized. Attention to detail is crucial.
Physical Demands
Ability to communicate orally with management and other co-workers is crucial. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication may be required. Sitting or standing for extended periods is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents.
Some heavy lifting may be required. Exertion of up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally may be required. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office and processing equipment. Must be comfortable operating and troubleshooting trimming and packaging equipment.
Good reasoning ability is required to solve a wide range of problems.
Work Environment
