Summary

We are looking for a strong Kitchen Manager to open the newest restaurant in Marshall, Minnesota, Tavern 507! Candidates must be able to lead a team, love developing people and the kitchen, have a good knowledge of inventory control, high service, and sanitation standards. A background that includes corporate restaurant settings is a plus. Must love to work with people! 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Uphold and assist in ensuring Tavern 507 and Bird Dog Hospitality’s policies and procedures are consistently communicated and followed.
  • Maintains a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality at all times with team members, customers and co-workers.
  • Responsible for assisting the General Manager by providing cooperative leadership and managing processes to ensure the Restaurant meets and maintains all Company expectations regarding Quality, Service, Profit, and Teamwork.
  • Inform management of any needed changes or information regarding the operation of the kitchen or restaurant.
  • Follow up on any Quality Control unsatisfactory rating that pertains to the kitchen.
  • Uphold and abide by the employment policies of the Company.
  • Know and ensure that proper Health Department standards are followed
  • Demonstrate complete menu knowledge.
  • Complete Daily Opening and Closing Checklists
  • Receive and store kitchen products and supplies by using correct rotation of goods.                         
  • Ensure proper rotation of food and supplies is done.
  • Leadership and training of all staff for correct portioning of all menu items
  • Maintain a clean kitchen.
  • Use kitchen Waste Sheets when needed.

Experience, Skills, and Education

  • Minimum of two or more years as an Assistant Kitchen Manager or like position
  • Requires a knowledge of business leadership etiquette, principles and practices.
  • Requires the ability to speak English and communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing. Effective communication includes the ability to handle team member and guests’ issues with finesse and professionalism.
  • Requires ability to relate and interact with people in a warm, friendly and professional manner.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends.
