Job Description: The State Apprentice will work with a Journeyman / Master to assist in install, maintain, and repair equipment to customers specifications. They will ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.

Attend in-house Apprenticeship Programs

  • Career development training for all levels through our four year Apprenticeships Program.  Students ranging from high school to adults, have the opportunity to earn a journeyman’s license in a field of their choosing by attending classes two nights a week, using curriculum from the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). 

What you’ll be working on:

  • Assist in installation or assembly of trade specific material and equipment in the shop, building, or jobsite.
  • Assist with the set-up and operation of trade specific equipment and machinery.
  • Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary.
  • Actively participate in company sponsored apprenticeship program.
  • Work as part of a team and use materials safely.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, clients, and managers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • All employees are accountable for safety and health and are empowered to stop work if an unsafe condition is present. Employees should immediately notify their supervisor so that the hazard may be corrected.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience and training.
  • NCCER certification preferred.
  • Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and tools.
  • Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen, and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e. DMV, criminal history).
  • Must adhere to all company policy and procedures.

May work with or around typical construction materials and chemicals that require knowledge of a safety data sheets.
