The HR Intern will have an opportunity to work with cross-functional teams and will gain experience in the HR concentration related to recruiting, advertisement, project implementation, benefits initiatives and much more!

The Human Resources Intern will report to a Human Resources Specialist in our Whitewater, WI location and work closely with a multi-discipline HR team in Burlington, WI. The primary location of this position will be in Whitewater however travel to the Burlington headquarters will be required on a limited basis. The ideal candidate will be available for 12-15 hours per week during the semester – Tuesdays and Thursday afternoons required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sourcing of candidates and relationship building with the Whitewater community
  • Attend recruiting events and represent Lavelle Industries and our position openings
  • Conduct employment interviews and make hiring decisions for the production workforce
  • Onboard new hires and personify the "warm welcome" of the company culture
  • Maintenance of recruiting metrics
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree focusing on HR or a similar field of study
  • Ability to travel to community events and to the Lavelle Industries headquarters (expenses will be reimbursed)
