OBJECTIVE: 

Amplify Association Management (Amplify) is an accredited association management company (AMC) that specializes in full-service management for non-profit professional and trade associations. We become a strategic partner to our clients to elevate the impact of their mission, members and industry.

The Event Management Professional will join a motivated team of account executives, marketing coordinators and program managers to improve partner outcomes with their meeting/event planning expertise. The ideal candidate will have technical skills in planning, organizing, management, administration, profitability, and effectiveness of the various conferences, seminars, trade shows and special events conducted for specified client associations.

This individual will coordinate meetings and events across multiple clients in a range of exciting industries. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, intuitive and motivated to make an impact at Amplify, and for our clients.

This position reports to the Amplify CEO.

TRAVEL

  • Travel required, determined by association clients served, six to eight weeks per year. Travel is outside the local area and/or out-of-state. Multiple consecutive days of travel and overnight stays required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

  • This position has supervisory responsibility with the staff teams prior to and onsite at meetings (Account Executives, administrative assistant, membership, communication, technology, financial management) assigned to the association clients.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Undergraduate degree (BA or BS) preferred with a focus in event planning or related field. Ability to work with volunteer leaders. Three to five years’ experience in meetings and/or event planning.

PREFFERED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience planning tradeshows and Certified Meetings Professional (CMP) designation is a plus.
