DESCRIPTION

The UltiPro HR/Payroll Implementation Consultant will be responsible for aiding clients with the implementation of Ultimate Software's UltiPro HCM solution.  The implementation process includes system configuration, requirements gathering, process design, testing, and go-live.  This person will also assist clients with post-launch special projects and system optimization work. While this role is a functional consulting position; familiarity with the technical aspects of software implementations such as Data Conversion, System Integration or Report Writing is a plus. Successful candidates must be customer focused, possess exemplary customer service skills, and have strong diagnostic and analytical skills.

Responsibilities in this role will generally include:

  • Spearhead client information gathering sessions
  • Lead client kick-off obtaining engagement and defining expectations
  • Supply subject matter expertise to clients
  • Compose operational specifications for customizations while managing testing and acceptance of delivered solutions
  • Offer best practice recommendations and creative solutions to meet client needs
  • Maintain and create documentation, requirements and project plan
  • Obtain client authorization for all work reports
  • Create data mapping from client system(s) to UltiPro
  • Balance client payroll and formulate turnover documentation
  • Validate data conversion
  • Manage project budget and scope
  • Participate in parallel cycles
  • Consult with clients on post-launch system optimization opportunities
  • Manage post-launch special projects as needed 

The right candidate has:

  • A bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience implementing UltiPro
  • Solid understanding of HR/Payroll/Benefits.
  • A history of managing multiple projects at once and meeting multiple deliverables
  • Proven success communicating with clients and uncovering their needs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to engage clients and vendors effectively during projects and implementations
  • Additional relevant certifications and expertise preferred (PMP, CPP, SHRM, etc.)
  • Intermediate skill with MS Excel and SQL preferred
