JL Schwieters Building Supply Construction, Inc, is the industry’s fastest growing lumber supplier. JL Schwieters is a complete component/pre-fab manufacturer and full building supply center. We manufacture roof and floor trusses, wall panels, stairs, fireplace/entertainment centers and many other pre-fab components. Our labor division performs the field install of these products.

We are seeking an entry level Shop Mechanic to help with our current growth! We recently built a 145,000 sq. ft. plant to add to the existing 3 buildings we currently have. Our new building contains brand-new state-of-the-art equipment that will allow us to build more wall and floor panels. We also have our roof and floor truss lines in this building as well.

This candidate will spend a lot of time in the new plant but will also have responsibilities in our existing facilities as well. We are seeking a candidate with good welding and fabricating skills. Candidate will also help keep our machines running and will be doing preventive maintenance on our equipment. Other duties include but are not limited to; forklift operation, light facility work as needed (light bulbs, light plumbing etc.), inventory and replacement of parts, conveyor maintenance, tool repairs, and more. 

Job Requirements:

  • At least one year of welding/fabrication experience
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to comply and adhere to JL Schwieters Safety Regulations
  • A strong mechanical aptitude

Pay starts at $23+ per hour, DOQ
