Job Summary

 Crane Shop & Field mechanic needed. Must be able to diagnose and repair both hydraulic and electrical problems. Successful applicant must be able to work independently as well as take instruction and direction from the service manager. Crane mechanical experience preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Diagnose and repair mobile heavy equipment such as Boom Trucks, Hydraulic Rough Terrain Cranes, Crawler Cranes, Telehandlers, etc.
  • Operate equipment to troubleshoot machine problems and evaluate correctness and completeness of repairs that have been done on the machine.
  • Ability to run Mfg. computer diagnostics as well as basic computer skills.
  • Sets the positive example in punctuality and professional demeanor by respectful communication with all levels of staff, keeping work areas clean and orderly, and promoting safety regulations and all other company programs.
  • Maintain equipment in accordance with manufacturers’ recommended maintenance procedures in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Complete service reports, time cards, and parts requisitions accurately and in a timely manner. Report all non-routine finds immediately to the service manager.
  • Good communication is vital. Stay in touch with the service manager regularly so your location and status is always known.
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.

 Qualifications and Skills

  • At least four years of experience as technician on heavy equipment. Crane experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required; Class B commercial driver’s license preferred.
  • Post-offer drug test conducted, as well as random drug testing while employed
  • Possess good oral and written communication skills.
  • Possess a full set of tools.
  • Ability to lift at least 75 lbs
  • Must be able to work outside in various weather elements.
  • Ability to work overtime
