Job Summary
The Research Associate working under the Research Manager will be responsible for supporting research efforts and special projects at Youthprise as part of the Youth Innovation Team. Work will include developing and implementing Youth-led Participatory Action Research (YPAR) curriculum and trainings; planning and coordinating YPAR-related events and activities; supporting the YPAR Network of past and present grantees, academics, youth workers, youth researchers, partners; and supporting the organizing of the YPAR request for proposals and grantmaking.
Job Schedule and Location: Limited term (18 months), full-time role, benefits eligible. This is a Twin-Cities, Minnesota-based position located in an office building; it will start as a remote role and transition to the office located in Northeast Minneapolis. The building is accessible and smoke free. Some driving/travel to local sites.
Compensation: This is a non-exempt role with a pay range of $17.80-$21.60/hour, depending on qualifications.
Education, Experience & Skills: 1-3 years experience and/or equivalent education managing programs. Knowledgeable in Youth Participatory Action Research. Strong research experience. Excellent organizational and time management skills, including ability to set priorities, work independently and perform well under pressure. Strong relationship building and networking skills. Well-developed problem-solving, negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills. Commitment to social justice. Genuinely interested in others and their perspectives. Excellent listener. Sense of humor.
