West Plains Bank and Trust Company opened in 1883 and is the longest continually operating business in West Plains. 

Perform loan servicing responsibilities associated with the documentation and posting necessary in servicing the Bank's borrowers.  Incumbents will be expected to have a good understanding of the functional area so that they may operate competently in this area by performing the following duties.

 Obtain insurance binders or copies of insurance policies from borrowers or insurance agents and maintain up-to-date policies in credit files; verifies that property/casualty insurance is maintained on collateral pledge on loans; follow-up for replacement of canceled insurance policies.

Knowledge & Skills

Experience

Six months to two years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.

Education/Certifications/Licenses

High school degree or GED required.

Interpersonal Skills

Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job.  Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving and obtaining information, as well as advising or referring, which commonly require shorter discussions.

Physical Requirements

Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.  Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation.  Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator.  Must be able to routinely perform work on computer sitting for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary.  Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management.  Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.

Working Conditions

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled private office with minimal noise.

Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
