POSITION GOAL

This role supports the Human Resources Department by assisting with recruiting/hiring, record keeping, file maintenance, employee relations and HRIS entry. This role maintains employee files in accordance with federal and state regulations, including funder requirements.  This role will also interact with 3rd party vendors in completing necessary paperwork.

 

SCHEDULE AND WAGE 

Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm; $22.36 - $25.03 per hour

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Maintain personnel file compliance with applicable federal, state, legal and contractual requirements in electronic and paper form.
    2. Assist in monitoring agency compliance with labor and employment regulations.
    3. Provide administrative support to the Executive Leadership team as necessary.
    4. Post Agency job vacancies and facilitate the hiring process.
    5. Perform background checks as required and facilitate the offer process by extending the offer and scheduling the orientation date.
    6. Assist with development and maintenance of applicant tracking system and human resources information systems to ensure record keeping and reporting requirements are accurate and timely.
    7. Schedule, prepare, maintain, and distribute new employee orientation material and facilitate orientation based on Agency needs.
    8. Prepare and assemble new employee information that is required for adding them to agency data systems/programs that are used for payroll, time/attendance and benefits.
    9. Process personnel action forms and assure proper approvals; disseminate approved forms.
    10. Provide employee personnel information, as needed and approved, to outside vendors and/or agencies.
    11. Communicate human resources information with HACAP team members as needed.
    12. Support and conduct Human Resource audits as required.
    13. Assist with the preparation and maintenance of the employee handbook.
    14. Assist with periodic changes and updates to HACAP Policies and Procedures.
    15. Assist with employee inquires.
    16. Keep employee records up-to-date by processing employee status changes as required.
    17. Maintain employment related data for Program Managers.
    18. Perform other duties as necessary.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy are critical to the success of this position.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
    • Two years of related experience
  •  OR
    • Associates Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
    • Four years of related experience
