Summary of position

The Payroll Specialist will process all aspects of company payroll. This position will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payrolls for the organization with the option to learn basic human resources tasks as we continue to grow. Our processes are evolving as we become more electronic and are looking for someone with experience to help streamline and drive the process forward! In house payroll processing with multi state tax submission requirements. 

Duties & responsibilities

  • Prepare, process and submit weekly payroll in ComputerEase and to applicable agencies.
  • Compile and ensure all payroll data is up to date in our system including wage garnishments, deductions, fringes, vacation time, sick time, etc. 
  • 401k management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 Qualifications

  • Experience with processing multi-state payroll and payroll laws.
  • ComputerEase experience a plus.
  • Experience with certified payrolls required.
  • Experience with Construction Job Costing required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least two years of multi-state payroll experience required.
  • Federal payroll experience preferred.

Physical Requirements/ Working conditions

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities. 

Conditions of Employment

  • Must be able to pass Federal level criminal background screen
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday
  • Hourly
