The Opportunity

The Human Resources Specialist/Recruiter will conduct full scale recruiting for the organization including posting vacancies, conducting screenings, interviewing, sending offer letters, and communicating with both candidates and hiring managers.  The Human Resources Specialist/Recruiter will also attend job fairs and act as a representative for AccessCNY. 

The right candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field is preferred.  An Associate’s degree with related experience will be considered.
  • At least two years experience in full-scale recruiting.
  • Experience with ADP is highly preferred.
  • HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred but not required.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks.

Additional requirements:

  • Must be able to travel and attend out-of-town/state conferences, training and meetings.
  • Must participate in successful database checks through the HHS Office of Inspector General, Excluded Parties List System, New York Office of Medicaid Inspector General and Specially Designated Nationals.
  • Must have a valid NYS Driver License in accordance with the Agency Vehicle and Driving policy and transportation necessary to meet program needs.
