Gausman & Moore, a Division of Ayres is seeking to hire a full-time mechanical designer. You’ll be working with a great group of people on a diverse variety of projects. As a new employee, you won’t just work anonymously on a conveyor belt of projects. Instead, you’ll interact with project managers and other design staff that have forged long-term relationships with clients. On any given day, you’ll:
- Model building systems using the Revit family of tools.
- Drafting building systems using AutoCAD.
- Perform HVAC and plumbing design under the leadership of a senior designer or engineer.
- Run HVAC load calculations and energy calculations using Trane Trace, EnergyPro, and ComCheck.
- Assist in HVAC and plumbing equipment selection.
- Obtain hands-on learning for advanced mechanical design elements including hydronic design, process piping, and more.
- Coordinate mechanical design elements with electrical and architectural teams, and other consultants.
Required qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of related engineering experience.
- Proficient knowledge of California Mechanical, Plumbing, and Energy codes.
Desired skills and experiences:
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- A minimum of 4 years of related engineering experience.
- Expertise in both Revit and AutoCAD.
- Experience with EnergyPro, Trane Trace, and ComCheck.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel.
- Proficient knowledge of International Mechanical, Plumbing, and Energy codes.
