OBJECTIVE:  This position provides administrative and HR support to the Iowa Soybean Association. Duties include scheduling, record keeping, coordination of meetings, handling direct mailings and working on special projects. Provides an opportunity to work with a variety of employees at all levels of the organization. A self-starter attitude is a key in this role and is important when planning, prioritizing, and organizing a variety of tasks and projects. This position reports to the Director of HR and Administration.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist in onboarding new employees
  • Management of HR paperwork
  • Schedule interviews and meetings for Director of HR
  • Provide administrative support for ISA staff
  • Manage employee anniversary and review dates
  • Submit Expense vouchers for staff members
  • Take on projects for various departments
  • Coordinate with the Office Manager to ensure phone and front desk coverage during absences
  • Other duties as assigned

TRAVEL

  • This position requires minimal to no travel. All travel will generally be within the Ankeny area.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associates Degree preferred
  • A combination of education and experience is acceptable
  • 1-3 years of related experience, preferred
