Behavior Technician (Entry Level) - Training Provided!

Do you have a passion for helping others, but aren’t sure where to start? At Behavioral Perspective, Inc (BPI), we offer entry level and experienced professionals the training needed to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) so you can provide much needed services to children and teens with Autism.  

Behavior Technicians provide 1:1 therapy, with the support of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Services are given either in the individual’s home or at one of BPI’s clinics. Our goal is to set learners up for success by developing positive behaviors and life skills using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Don’t worry, all of the training you need is provided! You don’t even need experience! We will set you up for success. 

BPI offers our learners with Autism and special abilities a variety of services to maximize life experiences, including behavior, occupational, and speech therapies. What will you be doing every day?

  • Creating a fun and encouraging learning environment. The best part of ABA therapy is that it looks like play!
  • Helping learners manage challenging behaviors. Collecting and recording data on their progress.
  • Collaborating with other therapy providers to help the learners succeed.

What will you need to bring?

 Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum education of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Availability to work a minimum of two early evenings per week (3:30 PM - 7:00 PM)
  • Availability to work two Saturdays per month

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting on the floor or at low, child-size tables
  • Bending
  • Reaching and Gripping
  • Speaking, Hearing, Seeing
  • Climbing stairs
  • Walking and running
