Database Administrator

This individual will be responsible for administering our groups internal Quickbase database. Daily tasks will involve developing reports, troubleshooting issues, building new modules and general administration of the database. This individual will need to work in a team environment   and provide quality work.

  • Pursues relevant QuickBase training to understand and support data validity, data reporting, platform expansion functions and new features
  • Configure, enhance, and administer a variety of QuickBase applications
  • Experience utilizing Power BI to enhance the database is highly sought after
  • Skilled in designing input forms
  • Well versed in relational database structures
  • Familiar with Quickbase formulas
  • Translate data from Quickbase into an understandable Writing and speaking clearly, communicating complex ideas
  • Develop and implement records management program for filing, protection, and retrieval of records, and assure compliance with program
  • Review forms and reports and confer with management and users about format, distribution, and purpose, and to identify problems and improvements
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
  • Identify, analyze and interpret the data supplied to you for final reports
  • Filter and “clean” data, and review computer reports, printouts, among other documents to verify data is correct and the prepared report is up to Mears quality standards

What is Required?

  • Experience with Quickbase and Microsoft Power BI
  • Proficiency in SQL, JSON, statistics, data analysis and data research methods preferred
  • Experience in data administration, supervision and/or and management functions (collection, monitoring, analysis, distribution)
  • Three (3) years minimum of QuickBase Development and administration experience
  • Familiarity with modern database and information system technologies, competency with Quickbase platforms
  • Experience using standard tools to integrate systems, such as APIs,
  • Pass Pre-Employment drug screen and background check
  • High school Diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelors degree in a Computer Science related field is preferred but not necessary
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in reading and writing
  • Excellent computer kills in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point
  • This position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
  • This position is largely a sitting role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filling cabinets and bend or stand as
