Role Summary:

Deliver customized research outputs that provide relevant and current information and insight to support strategic and tactical decision making across business functions and industries/sectors.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Business & Market Research

  • Conduct secondary research based on client’s specifications with a high degree of accuracy, consistency and in a timely manner
    • Research requirements may encompass (but are not limited to) company profiles, industry overviews, current awareness updates, competitor landscapes etc.
    • Depending on client industry, you may also be required to process specific information access queries. However, these will not require any specialized knowledge (e.g. law firm client requests will not require access to expert legal knowledge or content)
  • Provide support to operations during time-critical situations
  • Interact directly both by telephone and email with global clients
  • Work collaboratively with clients and team members to produce high-quality research outputs/reports using client and internal templates

Other Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the continuous review and improvement of processes. Support the sharing of knowledge and cross-skilling within the team
  • Assistance with team administration through assigned tasks such as supporting a financial tracker, or monitoring of expenditure

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written English language communication skills
  • Should be able to quickly understand and process information from multiple sources and present findings in logical and creative manner to clients
  • Should possess knowledge/understanding of analytical frameworks (e.g. SWOT, PESTLE, 5 Forces etc.) and be able to assess strengths, weaknesses, trends etc. from a given dataset
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Extremely high level of attention to detail
  • Research-oriented and analytical mind set

  • Competent in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Technical Skills:

  • Strong research skills including awareness of how to optimize results on search engines like Google
  • Enhanced problem solving skills using creative and lateral thinking
  • Superior report writing and data presentation abilities
  • Prior knowledge of databases such as LexisNexis, Statista, Factiva, D&B Hoovers, Westlaw, Manzama or others

Education and Experience:

  • Post – Graduate/Graduate in any discipline. While no specific field of study is mandated for this role, fulfilling the ‘Required Skills’ criteria is essential
