Position Summary

  • A professional with experience as a working foremen in commercial construction, that are responsible for building and remodeling commercial office buildings, hospitals, hotels, schools, restaurants, shopping malls, including multi-family structures.

Responsibilities:

  • Duties include working with wood, light-gauge studs and load-bearing steel framing for interior partitions, exterior framing. May include working with concrete forming systems and finishing interior and exterior walls, partitions, doors & hardware, and various ceiling types.
  • Following blueprints and ability to calculate material deliveries and schedule material needed in advance of work.
  • Constructing building frameworks, including wall studs, floor joists, door frames, temporary protection, and safety measures.
  • Instructing and directing laborers and other construction trade helpers to support the needs of a project.
  • Willingness to train and help develop crew members such as apprentices, laborers, and helpers to grow a more skilled labor force.

Education/Experience:

  • Must have at least 1 years’ experience working in commercial construction as a working carpenter foreman in commercial construction.
  • Must have at least 5 years’ experience as a commercial carpenter.

Additional Abilities/Responsibilities

  • Equipment operator certification a plus.
  • Computer skills and use of IPAD a plus.
  • Travel out of town to work on remote job sites as directed by management.
