Charles Mix County is looking for a full-time Administrative Assistant in our Director of Equalization Office.  The Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting staff and customers in person or via phone. This is a full-time position eligible for benefits!

As an Administrative Assistant, you will perform a variety of duties including:

  • Performs technical and general clerical support work in the office including greeting customers in person and via the telephone
  • Identify property on a map
  • Handle inquiries or complaints from the public
  • Make accurate calculations

To be qualified for this position, you will need:

  • Good public relation skills and work in a team environment.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Valid South Dakota Driver's License
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills dealing with the public in a friendly and professional manner
  • Strong Organization skills
  • Strong skills with telephone, computers including Microsoft Office, and general office equipment
