POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The incumbent provides water testing services, chemical delivery, and water treatment equipment repair to clients within an assigned territory.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Troubleshoots and repairs chemical feed equipment, calibrating sensors, and plumbing/control issues.
  • Applies proper chemical dosage to keep consistent water balance within set parameters.
  • Fills holding containers with water treatment chemicals as needed to maintain adequate supply. 
  • Performs cooling tower cleanings using proper chemicals.
  • Provides documentation to management and customers from site visits and water testing.
  • Maintains customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and taking corrective action in a timely manner.  
  • Establishes open communication with vendors and clients to facilitate positive working relationships.
  • Manage a monthly schedule of field service calls in assigned territory.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This position operates primarily in the field, responding to customer calls for service on boiler systems. Jobsite work is likely to entail varying exposure to weather, potentially harmful materials or chemicals, fumes, odors, noise, dangerous machinery, and/or other conditions typically associated with a live construction site.

TRAVEL:

  • This position may require up to 75% local travel.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of water treatment experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the water chemistry aspects of large HVAC water systems, cooling towers, chiller water, and boiler systems. 
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a group/team setting.
  • Ability to clearly communicate in technical reports and customer visits. 
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime, as business need dictates.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record.
  • Must meet Act 34 requirements and be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Applicant should be based out of Northern Delaware to support work throughout the state of Delaware.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Boiler, plumbing, HVAC or general facility maintenance training and/or experience.
  • Basic plumbing skills including piping in copper and PVC.
  • Tablet app service reporting experience
  • Basic computer skills
