The Office Engineer will perform analysis, administrative & accounting duties in support of the Project Manager who oversees various construction projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide support to the success of the project team by contributing to the financial management of the active projects
  • Produce financial reports to communicate the health and performance of the individual projects
  • Create invoices based on the work performed either through unit priced contracts or time and material basis
  • Interact with vendors and subcontractors during buyout, execution and close out phase of a project
  • Performs administrative/clerical duties for the purpose of assisting the Project Manager and the team in the performance of their work
  • Attends meetings for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions
  • Responsible for completing accounting tasks for month end close, accruals, job costing and compliance
  • Maintains various records and compiles pertinent information for the Project Team
  • Generate Key Performance Indicators (KPI) report(s) from field production data/tracking logs
  • Work with the Project Engineers to coordinate office and field aspects of the project
  • Performs other functions as requested by the Project Manager
  • Review vendor invoices associated with the project and submit them to Project Manager for approval

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.  Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar field of study
  • Administrative experience in maintenance transportation construction or combination of experience and education
  • Knowledge of office procedures and basic bookkeeping procedures; data input
  • Maintain confidentiality of records and correspondence
  • Effectively use a variety of computer programs to include but not limited to Microsoft Office and complex database programs
