Plumber
Performance of a variety of duties to construct, install, and maintain the facilities of the District; maintenance of customer’s gas utilization equipment; and perform routine operation and maintenance duties. It is our policy to provide and maintain safe and healthful working conditions for all employees and make a positive impact on the environment.
What Do You Offer Us?
- Installation of mains, services, and tanks.
- Installation of customers' piping and related facilities.
- Installation and maintenance of regulators, meters, and related piping.
- Operation of digging, boring, and other construction equipment.
- Operation of gas leak detection, line locating, and cathodic protection equipment.
- Ability to operate related construction and maintenance equipment.
- Repair and maintenance of gas utilization equipment.
- Interpret service work orders.
- Install, service, and/or repair gas utilization equipment.
- Perform turn-ons and turn-offs.
- Perform standby duties.
- Communicate and interact with other employees and general public.
- Perform other tasks as assigned or required.
What is Required?
- Must be reliable and able to work in a team environment
- Excellent reading skills to understand and comprehend all construction warning signs
- Require passing a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug tests
- Be able to work out of state for extended periods of time
- Great attention to safety
- Willing to travel
- Able to work in high-stress environment with extreme weather fluctuations
- Preferred experience within the Construction, Pipeline or Gas Distribution industry
