Due to growth, our corporate HQ office in Plymouth, MN is looking for an Employee Communications Director. This role is responsible for internal communications activities that purposefully integrate the company’s internal messaging to support change management activities.  Specific work includes supporting the development of employee messaging, managing internal change processes, managing the internal employee portal, building relationships with corporate leaders.  Works in conjunction with External Communications to ensure internal messaging is aligned and on brand. This individual also drives employee engagement through sharing knowledge & building connections with employees and teams supporting the values-based culture of Wealth Enhancement Group.  

Job Functions

Internal Employee Communication Strategy / CEO Webinars

  • Develop messaging and positioning strategy that aligns business goals and communicates those clearly to employees to drive engagement.
  • Works with CEO on internal communications webinars; creates materials and hosts the webinars; tracks results and creates plan for increased employee participation
  • Creates “Living the Values” communications and engagement activities

Employee Portal

  • Work with internal leaders to insure the employee portal is designed effectively and has appropriate content to drive knowledge, education and learning opportunities to employees.
  • Oversee usage, regular monitoring, analysis and reporting of employee portal; recommend ways to increase the portals effectiveness

Change Management & Change Adoption

  • Partner with corporate leadership to learn of activities and projects, determine what type of agile rollout is planned and what the most effective communication channel and learning materials may be needed to drive change adoption.
  • Assist executive leadership team with developing and implementing communications.
  • Work with Learning & Development to create learning tools for change adoption
  • Assist with communications / learning rollouts to departments and teams.
  • Follow up on initiatives to learn what worked and what can be improved on.
  • Facilitate sharing and repurposing of existing content across company via corporate communication, including intranet, email and training sessions.

Corporate Employee Meeting Management / Employee Gifts

  • Develop strategy and oversee the planning and execution of employee events; webinars and market or update communications. 
  • Ability to set up and manage online software in support of webinars and tracking of statistical results.
  • Work with marketing on the annual employee gift to employees; selection and deployment

Employee Engagement

  • Provides support to promote corporate initiatives such as charitable giving, employee meetings, learning opportunities, etc.
  • Works with learning and development to drive employee engagement information into communications; works with management on increasing employee engagement.
  • Supports the strategy and drives diversity and inclusion initiatives

Education | Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Org Development or similar.
  • 7+ years communications, employee portal and engagement experience.
  • Detail oriented; ability to prioritize workflow and projects; able to work with deadlines and be flexible 
  • Professional interactions with company leadership
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and presentation software; graphic design software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of online meetings software; able to host and set up webinars and track results
  • Ability to work as a Team Member; positive solution-focused attitude.

OSHA Requirements

  • The ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, to use the telephone and computer systems.
  • File documents in high or low cabinets
  • Ability to lift 15 pounds
