Job Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced, thorough HDR mechanic. The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues on large construction equipment to small vehicles. We’re looking for a well-trained and highly organized self-motivated HDR mechanic who takes pride in their work and can perform multiple tasks as required throughout the day. We need the candidate to be flexible with hours and able to work overtime when needed.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Diagnose vehicles and equipment based on observational and mechanical testing as well as information provided by the operator/driver
  • Perform regular maintenance as described by maintenance manuals
  • Ability to inspect a vehicle and effectively create a list of needed parts
  • Test drive vehicles after repairs are complete to ensure mechanical soundness and determine whether any other problems exist
  • File appropriate documentation on all repairs made

Auto Mechanic skills

  • 5+ years HDR experience
  • Must be able to work scheduled overtime as needed
  • High school diploma/GED preferred not required
  • Valid driver’s license required with clean driving record, commercial license preferred not required
  • Excellent communication skills preferred
  • Knowledge of tools and equipment required to conduct all repairs
  • Ability to operate diagnostic tool repairs
  • Ability to operate automobile lifts
  • Must supply own tools

Working Environment/Physical Demands:

Work is performed most frequently outdoors in weather conditions that vary from below freezing temperatures to heat above 90 degrees, in wet and dry conditions and in rural areas. Employee’s may perform duties around energized and de-energized electric lines and equipment and moving mechanical parts. Work may be performed in confined spaces. Some exposure to odors, gases, dust and dirt may occur. The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud.

Work is heavy and requires exertion of up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Lifting and carrying of 10 to 50 pounds frequently is required. Reaching and lifting overhead is frequent.
