The GIS Technician will design, document, and maintain a Fiber Optic Network in ArcMAP, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, or 3GIS programs, along with Generating GIS data sets based on direction from Project Managers. This position will also require you to assist with Data Cleanup.

  • Experience with fiber splice tree design
  • Assist with customer work order request for demand point assignments and customers close out packages
  • Knowledge of ISP fiber allocation and documentation
  • Ability to read fiber prints and 3GIS updates
  • Ability to work efficiently with ESRI schemas
  • Must have a working knowledge of coordinate systems and projections
  • Other duties as assigned

What is Required?

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Knowledge of CAD preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with ESRI, ArcMAP, ArcGIS PRO, QGIS or relatable 4- year degree in GIS
  • Must be able to stand or walk for long periods with repeated lifting (Up to 50 lbs.), kneeling, crawling, climbing, and reaching
