Overhead Lineman

This position is responsible for the construction and maintenance of our nations Power Grid. You will assist your team in building, repairing, and maintaining overhead electrical distribution systems.

  • Assists with installing transformers, lightening arrestors, cutouts, cross-arms, insulators, switches and switchgear.
  • Assists in replacing fuses in transformers and clears faulted circuits and systems
  • Able to perform rigorous physic labor
  • Possess a basic knowledge of materials used in line work
  • Capable of working at heights and or confined spaces
  • Understand basic rigging, hand lines and lineman knot tying
  • Able to identify primary and secondary voltage on circuit
  • Capable of performing basic bucket rescue/escape

 What is Required?

  • Must possess at least a valid class A Commercial Drivers License permit upon hire
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of Lineman work
  • Able to read/write and communicate effectively
  • Able to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms
  • Able to travel long distance on short notice, when required
  • Able to work for extended periods in various locations, when required
  • Able to lift more than 50 lbs.
  • Willing to work over-time when requested
